UPDATE FOR RESULTS …

Sunday, August 5, 2012, 11:45pm (EST). At the end of Day 9, where more than 20 events were medalled, the United States had a very quiet day.  Other than the Williams Sisters in Doubles Tennis, McKayla Marone with her silver on Women’s Vault, Justin Gatlin’s Bronze in the 100m dash, Lisa Raymond and Mike Bryan’s Bronze in Mixed Doubles Tennis and the bright spot of  Sanya Richards-Ross and Dee Dee Trotter taking Gold and Bronze in the Women’s 400m, the USA did nothing today.  Here’s to a more productive Day 10!

Sunday, August 5, 2012, 2:15pm (EST). This biggest update from the start of Day 9 was in Tennis where hometown favorite, Andy Murray, upset Roger Federer for the gold in Tennis, Men’s Singles and Juan Martin del Potro defeated Novak Djokovic for the bronze. Tonight’s update will have the track & field results as well as everything else from Day 9, with pictures!

Sunday, August 5, 2012 Today s a mixed day of sports with lots of medals being handed out across the spectrum, including the start of wrestling and the end sports like fencing. Highlights of today include the Men’s 100m dash where Usain Bolt is expected to continue his domination and the Men’s Tennis Singles Final which is a rematch of Wimbledon with Roger Federer against Great Britain’s Andy Murray. Also on the bubble in the morning is the start of the finals in gymnastics individual apparatuses with USA’s McKayla Maroney competing on vault and Jake Dalton competing on Floor. Certain sports are not being televised; in such a case, we have directed you to NBC’s live web streaming service.
