Welcome to Day 16 of On My DVR’s coverage of the XXX Olympiad!

Sunday, August 12, 2012 (8:45PM est).   This is On My DVR’s final update but no time for goodbyes, let’s see what went down in the last day of events.  USA Men’s Basketball probably had the closest game of the entire Olympics in its final, gold medal match against Spain, squeaking out the win 107-100; way to keep it interesting guys!  In the only other medal Team USA won today, Jake Varner won the gold medal in the Men’s Wrestling Freestyle 96kg class. So, with all 302 events decided, the United States walks away the medal leader in overall hardware (104) and Gold Medals (46, to China’s 38). Click here for the full Medal Count Standing!

Sunday, August 12, 2012 This is it. After 16 days of blood, sweat and many, many tears (we’re looking at you little Russian gymnasts), we have reached the final day of the XXX Olympiad! The hot ticket on today’s agenda, besides the star studded closing ceremonies, has to be the Men’s Basketball Gold medal Match. Other highlight events today, the final 5 medal matches in Men’s Boxing and the Women’s Modern Pentathlon.
