Its the weekend and by the time Monday rolls around, the XXX Olympics will be history. its beena  fun ride and I hope you enjoyed On My DVR’s coverage.  Time to set our sights to the Fall TV Season and next week, look for OMD’s page busting Fall TV preview of what’s on and what to watch and what to avoid! 1.  TV Tonight! Olympics, but its a pretty boring night unless you like relay races then you’re in for a treat. But really, you should be watching the Common Law season finale because its going to be great as we learn why Wes pulled his gun on Travis which is the underlying premise for the whole show!!! Also, preseason football tonight!!!

  • CBS has NFL Preseason Football (New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals) from 7:30-10:30.
  • NBC has one of its final night of Olympics coverage from 8-midnight (track &field, diving prelims and BMX finals)
  • ABC has two hours of 20/20 starting at 9.
  • On cable, TLC has the season finale of Randy to the Rescue at 10; USA Network has the freshman season finale of Common Law (Wes and Travis try to get back into Dr. Ryan’s good graces by telling their full story) at 10, SyFy has a new Lost Girl (Bo tangles with Fae; Kenzi does a favour for Hale) at 10; and Travel Channel starts a new season of Dead Files (investigating paranormal activity at a dentist’s home office).

2.  The Americans. FX has (finally) picked up one of the shows I was most excited for in the pilot season, The Americans, a 1980s cold war drama about spies, starring Keri Russell (Felicity), Matthew Rhys (Brothers and Sisters) and Noah Emmerich (a Hey, Its That Guy, who I liked in The Walked Dead). The commitment is for 13 episodes and will air in 2013.

3.  Casting News.  The Awesome Ving Rhames has been cast for a guest star role on this season’s Hawaii Five-0 as a man from Danny’s past.

4.  Reality Shows Are Olympic Gold! While Ryan Lochte is being rumored as the next Bachelor, fellow USA Teammate, Sanya Richards-Ross, has signed a concrete reality show deal with WE tv which will follow her career and personal life.

5.  PaleyFest Schedule.  Click the clicky for the Schedule which, as always, is an awesome lineup!

6.  Revenge, Emily will not be denied.  Thanks to TVLine.com for the picture.
