I know, I know, I meant to post this last week, but with Memorial Day weekend last week and I went away this weekend, so we’re a little bit behind. So, here’s your delayed Sound-Off!
1. Glee – Here’s we go again. Amtrak does not go into Grand Central. It is not possible that Rachel Berry took a train from Ohio to New York and ended up on the East Side. Seriously, since they didn’t use the inside to the station, why couldn’t they be a touch realistic and have her come out on 34th and Seventh? Really, the scene where she stood on the corner of 42nd and Madison was pointless. Walking down Broadway was fine, but the rest was dumb. Also, during graduation, there were other kids standing on stage, but they had no names. Also, why did they call the Glee kids is such a random order. Hudson should have been right before Hummel and Berry should have been first. It made no sense. But that’s Glee for ya! Will you tune in to see the train wreck that will be season 4?
2. Summer TV. I want my USA. With the return of the USA summer shows imminent, I am super psyched. Royal Pains, Necessary Roughness, Suits and the new bromance (yes, another one!) Common Law, it’s set to be quite a summer. And of course, Mad Men continues too. With this week’s season finales, I bid regular broadcast TV adieu and head over to USA and AMC and TNT. So long CBS, NBC and ABC, see you in the fall!
3. Mad Men – Does Megan know how to make anything other than spaghetti? Poor Don seemed to be slipping a little, reading her anger all wrong and thinking he was going to have sex with her right there on the floor again. Sorry, sit down and eat your dinner. Do you want some cheese? But then, Don seemed to get his groove back, giving a kick-ass speech about Jaguar. Will Lane get arrested for embezzling money? Also, that whole Paul Kinsey/Hare Krishna thing was pretty wacky. Harry Crane usually disgusts me, and he definitely did in this episode, but then he really came through in a great way for Paul. Very nice. I just wish he had told him to shave the weird Hare Krishna pony-tail thing. Also, I missed Peggy in the episode, but got a lot of Joan and that was pretty awesome. She and Don have one of the best relationships on the show. Agreed?
4. Awake - So, I didn’t really watch this show, but kept up with TV Watcher’s reaps and then I watched most of the series finale and when it ended, I had to wonder, how else could they have ended the season? Yes, folks, was all a dream.
