1. TV Tonight! Ooph, as May winds down, you’ll start to see more and more repeats. What’s left of new shows tonight are pretty much all season finales.
- CBS is all repeats.
- NBC has the season finales of Who Do You Think You Are? (Paula Deen) and Grimm followed by new Dateline NBC.
- Fox is all repeats.
- ABC has the season finale of Shark Tank at 8.
- CW has the season finales of Nikita at 8 and Supernatural at 9.
- On cable, USA has new Fairly Legal at 9 and Common Law at 10; TruTV has two new episodes of Bait Car at 10 and 10:30; and Animal Planet has the season finale of Whale Wars at 9 and 10.
1.A. Special programming Note. This Saturday will be the season finale of Saturday Night Live (Mick Jagger hosting and singing, with the help of some friends).
2. TV Sunday! We say goodbye to Harry’s Law for good and the rest of the new broadcast channel shows say goodbye for the Summer.
- CBS has a repeat of 60 Minutes at 8 and the movie Jesse Stone: Benefit of the Doubt, starting at 9.
- NBC has the series finale of Harry’s Law (we’ll miss you show!) and the season final of Celebrity Apprentice starting at 9
- Fox has the season finale of its cartoons tonight with The Simpsons (the Lady Gaga episode) at 9, Bob’s Burgers at 8:30 and an hour of Family Guy starting at 9.
- ABC has The 2012 Billboard Music Awards from 8-11, hosted by the Dunphy’s!
- On cable, Discovery has a viewers mail episode of Mythbusters at 9; Comedy Central has the special, Aziz Ansari: Dangerously Delicious at 10; AMC has new The Killing at 9 and Mad Men at 10; and HBO has new Game of Thrones at 9 followed by Veep at 10 and Girlsat 10:30.
3. USA Network News. In its first Upfront presentation, USA Network announced a few shows in development and seems to be trolling for a show to pair with Modern Family 9which it will begin airing in syndication next year) which is similar to TBS’s plan to feature new shows matched with its The Big Bang Theory repeats. 4. Cancelled Shows! MTV cancelled I Just Want My Pants Back and A&E cancelled Breakout Kings, neither of which I ever watched so my life is the same. In kids show news, the long running, iCarly will end at the end of its current season.
5. Grey’s Anatomy News. After last night’s shocking finale, creator Shonda Rhimes confirmed the departure of two of Grey‘s most popular characters. Click the clicky if you want to know.
